Safeway is, well, Safeway. This is a little older and smaller store, but it has a pretty good selection. It's often busy, especially because it's near the local university and lots of student apartments. The produce is generally good, and there's a nice selection of cut flowers in the floral area. The deli is small but still has a good selection. The bakery is pretty good.

This is your basic, well-stocked, easy-to-reach, Safeway. During my most recent visit to Flagstaff, we stopped in twice to pick up ready-made dinners from the deli. For less than $7, you can get a homemade-like meal for one person. It worked for us! We also enjoyed picking up some fruit and treats. We didn't talk to anyone, so I can't comment on the staff, but the store was clean and we easily found what we wanted, and then some.

The deli chicken is terrible. It looks a day old and refried. I should have went with my first mind and don't taste it. But I did and I was right tastes old and dried out
